ASI Controls System Architecture

NETWORKED APPLICATION

The open nature of ASI controllers and its communication protocol make ASI controllers well suited for networked applications. ASI Controls has developed a system built on the strength of an RS-485 network and Ethernet nodes that allow scalability without the loss of efficiency nor increase in network system administration. The ASI Controls networking strategy allows for :

· Facilities Management System (FMS)

· System Integration with other building systems

· Building Control System

· Energy Management System

· Supervisory Control & Data Acquisition System (SCADA)

STAND-ALONE APPLICATION

As a stand-alone device, ASIC controllers can be connected to TCP/IP network and both telephone and wireless modems. ASIC/2 controllers can evaluate alarm conditions and report to a central station either via Ethernet or modem. This application has benefited the following segment :
